Jake Weidemann signs with the Bays

Glenelg Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Jake Weidemann to the black and gold.

Weidemann joins the Tigers from Port Adelaide, having played eight matches already in season 2026 and 82 across his career so far, Weidemann is guaranteed to provide the Bays with great experience and versatility in the second half of the year.

Weidemann has a 78% disposal efficiency, averaging 16.5 disposals per game in 2026.

The 190cm midfielder possesses fantastic endurance and strength, and will provide the Bays with toughness ahead of our competitive run of games in July.

Head of Football, Paul Sandercock, is confident Jake’s strength will boost the Bays performance in the second half of the season,

“We are delighted to welcome Jake to the club. Bringing 82 games of SANFL experience with Woodville West Torrens and Port Adelaide, he adds strength, composure, and experience around the contest. His versatility will also provide valuable flexibility across the back half, making him an excellent addition to our playing group.”

“I’m keen to join the Bays for the second half of season 2026,” Weidemann said on Monday afternoon.

Weidemann is expected to take the field this weekend as the Bays face the Double Blues at Stratarama Stadium this Saturday afternoon.
