Volunteers

One of the better-known benefits of volunteering is the impact on the community. Volunteers are often the glue that holds a community together. Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. However, volunteering is a two-way street, and it can benefit you as much as the cause you choose to help. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, and boost your social skills.

One of the best ways to make new friends and strengthen existing relationships is to commit to a shared activity together. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, especially if you are new to the area. Volunteering also strengthens your ties to the community and broadens your support network, exposing you to people with common interests, neighbourhood resources, and fun and fulfilling activities.

• Preferable – Female (due to role within the change rooms)
• Having 2 x Team Managers will allow a rotation of commitment
• Pre-Season Training – 3 x nights
• In season training – 2 x nights
• Game day
• Some Club Functions
• Responsibilities – Assisting the Women’s Football Operations Manager (Rod Jameson) with training and game day duties.
• Supporting GFCW League players, reminders, relevant to club attire on and off field
• Distributing team sheets, on game day for Umpires, Champion Data, Opposition, laying out player guernseys.

• 14 x home & away games + Finals
• GFCW have 4 x home games in 2026
• Game Day only (2 hours)
• Sitting with opposition Timekeeper, monitor and support each other
• Same here at Glenelg FC at home games, but take the lead

• 7 x home & away games + 2 Finals
• U18 only have 1 x home game in 2026
• Game Day only (1.5hrs)
• Sitting with opposition Timekeeper, monitor and support each other
• Same here at Glenelg FC at 1 x home game, but take the lead
