Glenelg Football Club sign Abbey Rigter for Season 2026

Glenelg Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Abbey Rigter for the 2026 SANFLW season!

Abbey is a talented and versatile forward-midfielder who has made a strong impact at SANFLW level, and we’re thrilled she has chosen to continue her football journey at the Bays.

With 23 SANFLW League games and 23 goals to her name, Abbey brings proven experience and a natural goal sense. She played a standout role in the 2022 SANFLW Grand Final, kicking two crucial goals and showcasing her ability to rise in big moments.

A former South Australia U18 State representative, Abbey adds depth, composure, and leadership to our group as we build towards an exciting 2026 campaign.

Senior Coach Talia Radan shared her thoughts on the signing:
“We have seen what Abbey is capable of at SANFLW level and are very happy she has decided to continue her career at the Bays. Abbey is an experienced and versatile SANFLW forward-midfielder, with 23 SANFLW League games and 23 goals, kicking 2 goals in the 2022 SANFLW Grand Final. Abbey was previously a member of South Australia’s U18 State campaigns. We are looking forward to supporting Abbey play great football and enjoy the next part of her football journey.”

Abbey is equally excited to begin this new chapter:
