Glenelg Football Club sign Isla Wiencke for Season 2026

Glenelg Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Isla Wiencke for Season 2026!

Isla joins the Tiges following an impressive 2025, a member of the National AFL Academy, Isla was a leading prospect across the country for her age. Joining us from the GWS Giants Academy and Belconnen Magpies, Isla is set to level-up the Bays aerial contest.

Senior Coach Talia Radan is excited for Isla’s skillset to join the Bays;
“We are really happy that Isla has chosen the Glenelg Football Club to support her in the next phase of her football journey. Isla will complement our midfield group with her strong, inside contested game and physicality at the contest.

We can’t wait to support Isla to develop and showcase her versatility in other positions, including as a tall intercept defender and forward.

We have kept a close eye on Isla’s football journey throughout her time at Giants Academy and rate her incredibly highly as both a footballer and person. Her drive to be the best she can be is contagious and her football IQ is impressive.”
