Team Selections

Round 6 Team Selections | Season 2026

Proudly brought to you by

The Bays travel to Maughan Thiem Kia Oval for special celebrations and a battle against the SANFL's strongest fit-out in season 2026 this Saturday.

Following last weekend’s loss against the Panthers, the Bays new-look side sees a debutant and a milestone-matchmaker head to Woodville for one of the toughest matches of the season so far.

Three-time League premiership player Jonty Scharenberg will play his 150th league match for the mighty Bays, an accolade that will sit in his ever-growing collection of awards. Scharenberg, who has been a Tiger for over a decade, is the Bays most-successful premiership player having won:

  • 2014 SANFL U16 Premiership
  • 2016 SANFL U18 Premiership
  • 2021 SANFL Reserves Premiership
  • 2019 SANFL League Premiership
  • 2023 SANFL League Premiership
  • 2024 SANFL League Premiership

We look forward to watching Jonty take full action this weekend, and hope to see a strong Bays turnout to support our veteran.

Excitingly, the Bays senior side will also see a debutant take the field for this competitive clash. 2026 recruit Charlie Robinson-Cay joins the Tigers from Redhill Football Club. The 21 year old has had an 83% disposal efficiency in his first three Reserves games in season 2026 and will bring a strong pace to the Bays midfield.

Remi Brown returns to the League side this weekend alongside Connor McLeod.

The Woodville-West Torrens Football Club have coined this weekend’s clash as the Wellbeing Home Match thanks to Something in the Water (STW).

STW is a project run by Eagle’s senior player Harper Montgomery in conjunction with Mind to Mind.

STW is a social club and movement built to help people feel less alone, find direction and better themselves. STW runs social events, raises awareness for mental heath, and produces clothing to help promote the cause.

Saturday’s SANFL Hostplus League match will be televised on Channel 7 and live streamed on 7Plus from 2pm
